Hello, in the female hamster the anal opening and the vaginal opening will be so close together that they will look like one. The male hamster has two distinct openings that are further apart. How old are the babies? Terribly sorry about telling you the opposite, I have a friend who was breeding hamsters and she was showing me the difference between the male and female and I guess she got mixed up. When I later went online to see for myself I noticed that the males had the genitals further apart and not the females. It's actually an easy thing to do. That's why my store gets female hamsters sometimes and we get a wonderful surprise a few days later. Generlly it's about 5-6 six weeks before they start mating. I'm so sorry again for the mixup.
