Out of the ten pups 7 are black and with the traditional black bear barkings, but three of them are a white color. Is this normal for black bear hamsters?Thank u for your time.

Answer
Hi Matthew,

Usually, the hamsters' eyes will open around day 16, but there are exceptions.  Try soaking a piece of cotton wool in lukewarm water and gently wiping their eyes with it.  If their eyes still don't open, just try to be patient.  Some hamsters just develop slower than others.

I'm afraid I'm not too sure about the coloring of your hamsters; it's not something I've studied.  Are their eyes pink (if you can tell)?  Perhaps they are albino hamsters.

If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask.
