Bloody gerbil paw

One of my gerbil's fingers? has been purple for the past few days. This morning when i picked him up i noticed that paw was bloody and that he was missing the claw that had been purple. What should i do?

Answer
It sounds like he had lost circulation to his finger in his paw. The best thing to do is to take him to a vet so he can get looked at. He may have had a blood clot or something. Poor thing, but he will be just fine. Make sure he is eating and drinking normally.
