QuestionI have two dwarf hamsters that I thought were both males. On November 27th I was cleaning their cage and the one had doubled in size from a week or more and it's now January 2nd and no babies and the hamster has tripled in size. I have removed the other. It's been so long, can they carry long?
AnswerHi Sandy, it isnt a pregnancy as hamsters are pregnant for around twenty days and this is clearly longer, it may be an idea to pop it to the vet and get it checked out, i havent heard of this problem before and it doesnt sound good. keep them separated and keep an eye on the other for size changes also. sorry i cant be more help, Jen
