Hi (again)
Today i got my hammys sexed and when i tried to reunite the mom and female hammy, the mom fought with her.
There was no ingurys but she obviously didnt like her being there.
Do you think this is permenent or if we try to do it again it might work.
The new babys were in the cage too, so might this have been because they were there? Or is ther eno hope any more???

Hi Ellie,

Your mother hamster fought with her daughter because of the new hamsters.  She was protecting her new babies, which is very normal.  You will have to wait until the new babies are 3 weeks old and in a different cage before you try putting the daughter back in with her mother.  Even then, it may not work.  You'll just have to watch them to make sure that they're not fighting.
