squeaking?

my hampster seems to be squeaking (i guess that is how you describe it), but this only started about three days ago.  what is this?  is it sick or could it be something else?

Hamsters make noises all the time so unless it appears to not be eating, drinking or is looking really lethargic (lazy) then you should get in touch with a vet, or ask me again on allexperts, describing all the symptoms. check your hamster over for any other signs of illness, such as lumps, cuts, funny smells, dirt or mites. if you can't find anything, chances are its just being noisey.
