Question
Hi, I'm Melissa, I am an animal lover.I have many animals at home.I currently have 9 hamsters at home.My sick hamster is about 7 months old. She is suffering from severe loss of fur-almost hairless, lost of weight, her skin is terrible, looks moist and sticky on her upper chest, her body i covered with blisters which was cured by the vet awhile ago, leaving some scars, her tummy chest her fore limbs are swollen and red and her hind legs are skinny.  It seems that she has difficulty walking because she keeps squeaking.  She seems to be in pain.  She hops around instead.  She is currently leaving with her mother who looks after her but when she became too squeaky and annoying, the mother ignores her.She eats twice aday but lesser recently. She has difficulty drinking water so we have to bottle feed her.  i read about hamster bedding that causes symptoms but i think my hamster's condition is more than meets the eye.  Apparently, there's nothing the vet could do.  She is still on antibiotics.  She does not like cream applied. She is also allergic to certain cream.  Could you please advise me?Thankyou

This sounds terrible for your poor little one! The vet said there is nothing he could do? Did he say what is causing it?

I agree with you that her condition is more than meets the eye, but it sounds so severe, and I can't diagnose it. The only thing I can say right now is try to take her to another vet for another opinion about what might be causing it.

I'm sorry I'm not able to help you more, and Good Luck!
