Question
Hi.  I've currently got a couple of rats in a large 3 tier Terenziani cage (length 77cm, width 44cm and 105cm high) but i REALLY want a ferret- I've loved them ever since i came across them face-to-face on my work experience at an animal shelter.  My rats are around 15months old and when they are gone :(  I am hoping to get a ferret and use the cage they are in now but i'm worried it'll be too small for it (i'll probably get a female).  What size cage is good for a single ferret?  Are they good companions and do you know any breeders in England?, otherwise I'll get one from a rescue, but i'd prefer a kit.
Thanks,
Nicola

Answer
A 3 level cage should be sufficiant for a ferret.  I wouldn't keep more than two in this size.  I'm not sure of any breeders in England.  My suggestion would be to search the net and there might be breeders in the states (assuming you can't find one in England) that would ship one to England.  Hope this helps.
