Ferret sickness

Question
My female ferret has a sore on her tail about a half and inch in diameter and is also protroding from her skin not like a scab. I do not know if it is an allergy to her blanket or the soap i wash them in.

It possibly might be an allergy,or it could be from her getting in hurt somewhere, ferrets are very curious animals and get into everything so she may have cut it on something that was in a tight sqeeze. I am not very familliar with questions like this. Although I have had a ferret that got sores like that and i took her to the vet because it didnt get better, it was an infection.  If it doesnt get better I would recommend taking her to a vet.
