Baby swim

I have two 12 week old ferrets and just got a pool yesterday.I know that a ferret can swim but what if they are a baby like mine.Can they swim at this age?

I'd be very careful about putting a baby ferret in a big pool. Yes, technically they can swim, but I'd be more worried about it traumatizing your ferret. Wait until he's older and has developed a bond with you; that way, if you want to take him swimming, he'll know he's safe because you're there. Also, don't ever take him swimming too often or leave him in there, always supervise closely. And since there's lots of chlorine in pools, be sure to give him a good rinse off when he's done.

And of course, watch his initial reaction the first time; if he's absolutely freaking out, stop and get him out and don't take him swimming again. The first priority should be your ferret's happiness, not your entertainment.
