My couch smells like pee!

My dog is about 8 years old. I have NEVER had a problem with him. All of the sudden-he has started peeing on my couch. He does it at night while we're asleep. I have used all sorts of cleaners-but I can't get rid of the urine stench. I don't know why he has started this! Is there something that I can use to make him NOT pee on it (same spot-every time) I can't afford to replace the couch.

Thanks for writing. I don't know of any product that actually works to repel dogs from urinating on a particular location. IF we could invent one, we would both be very wealthy! :)

Take your pup to the vet for a checkup. It's not normal for a dog to have a sudden change in elimination habits. Good Luck. Thanks for writing.
