Question
My daughter has a chug and he is about 8months old he wees and poos outside but also does it in the house all the time, im at my wits end and dont know what to do with it,it is crossed with a Chihuahua and a pug, think thats how you spell it. they have lived with us since he was about 6months and i also have a rotweiller and he has since started doing the occasional wee and poo. I know its them laying their scent down, but why oh why is the little one doing it in the house constantly.

Answer
I would carefully supervise the little dog, to the point of never letting him out of your sight, unless he is crated. Even tether him to you, so you can see when he is sniffing or circling. Housetraining requires a lot of supervision, strict management and scheduling. Take him out more often than you think he needs to go - go with him to make sure he's not just chasing leaves, feed regularly scheduled meals, and when you can't watch him he should be crated or in an xpen. Clean all soiled areas with a good enzymatic cleaner. If he's not neutered, that may help marking, and a belly band may also be useful. But the big thing is that if you aren't paying attention, or aren't there when he's leaving his calling card, there isn't much you can do in the way of training.
