Question
I HAVE A STAFFORDSHIRE BULL TERRIER (MALE) HE IS 17 MONTHS OLD. HE HAS FULL ACCESS TO ALL OF THE HOUSE AND SLEEPS IN OUR BEDROOM AT NIGHT WHEN WE GO TO BED. WE HAVE A GARDEN AND THE BACK DOOR IS ALWAYS LEFT OPEN FOR HIM TO GAIN ACCESSS WHEN EVER HE WANTS IT HE GOES OUT FOR WALKS MOST OF THE TIME BUT WILL NOT STOP URINATING AND MESSING IN THE HOUSE ALL OVER AND THE SAME PLACES. PLEASE HELP.

Answer
You need to go back to house training 101, and stop allowing him full access to the house until he is trained.  I think he simply doesn't know where the toilet area is!  Clean any mistakes with an enzymatic cleaner such as Petastic, take him on leash outside to toilet and use the words "go pee" or "go poop" as he performs each function - reward him for doing his business outside.  If you take him out and he doesn't pee, put him in his crate and take him out again a while later - if he pees, reward him, if he doesn't, back in the crate.  Never take your eyes off the dog if he is off lead in the house.  Never scold the dog for mistakes (those are your fault for not watching the dog lol).  This dog could easily have been trained in puppy hood - I suspect you thought he would automatically know that outdoors was the place to go, but that isn't the case - dogs really need to be shown.  If you continue to have trouble, get a copy of Patricia McConnell's booklet "Way to Go - How to House Train a Dog of Any Age".  I'm sure you'll find it very helpful.
