Older Beagle Peeing in the House

Question
I have a 10 year old, very heathy beagle, that has been house trained for a long time.  She has a pretty good track record, even when left for long periods of time.  Recently, within the last two weeks, she started peeing in the middle of the night in the bedroom.  We started placing her in the bathroom over night and she did not pee.  We let her out thinking she had got the message, but again she started peeing on the carpet again.  She even peed in other places in the house as well.  We are beginning to think this there is something physically wrong with her, should we be thinking this?  We have notice a decline in appetite with her dry food as well, but not in other foods.  She does not display any other symptoms, other than random peeing and slower to eat her food.  Is there something with this breed we should be aware of?  She is very healthy, not overweight (rare for this breed), feed consistent science diet dry food, spaded, some tooth loss, and had anal glands removed.  Please help

Answer
THis is old enough that the dog could have early symptoms of bladder or kidney issues. The change in appitite also is a warning sign to look for biological issues. Dogs become geriatric in the last third of their normal life span, 14-16 for beagles. I would certainy visit a vet and the usual treatment is KD or ID type dog food or similar change in diet to meet the dogs new needs. We've had over a dozen beagles over the years, upto 52 pounds and 17 yrs old, all began to develop geriatric issues around age 11-12. In the mean while, crate the dog at night so you don't have to clean up. Use odo-ban, bleach, nature's miracle to remove the stain and scent from the carpet.
