Question
Our beagle-sheltie 10-month-old dog has a woodtick bite on the inside of her back leg.  It has a red spot about the size of a quarter around the bite and we can see the brown tick.
How do you remove a tick?
thank you.

Answer
it's very hard to say you without showing how to do that, but i will try:you need a pincette. with a small anc CLEAN pincette try to rake all tick , then grab it and pool out.clean the place where the rake was. don't leave the head of the tick, it will be bad. it's important to rake all tick! later, when you remove the tick you should burn it.
i hope it helps. but it would be better that you went to your veterinarian and asked to teach you to do that.
