Dog inhalant allergy

Question
I have a 18 mo old Golden Retriever who has been having chronic ear infections.  Allergy testing showed she has inhalant allergies.  She has been chewing on her paws, they are extremely red and now she is limping.  I have been washing her feet with hydrogen peroxide to kill the bacteria.  She is very itchy and scratching quite a bit.  What can I do for her paws?  I am concerned because of her limping.  I look forward to hearing your suggestions.  Many thanks!

Answer
Hi Christina!  You can buy Cortizone spray at your local Wal Marts or Pet Store and spray it on the really itchy spots for a faster acting relief from the itch.  You can also add Omega Fatty Acids to her diet and this will help with itching of her coat and etc.  Try putting something like bitter apple on her feet to keep her from chewing her feet.  If this doesn't help, then she may need to get shots for her allergies.  Best of luck!
