Question
Hi. I have a 2 year old german shorthair. He is not neutered and can have a lot of testerone and territorial stuff sometimes. He is completely potty trained and hasnt peed in the house since he was a pup.
I woke up in the middle of the night and he was hiking his leg and peeing on me! i cannot imagine why he would ever do this!

Answer
Hi mina;
I apologize for laughing, but that is funny, when it happens to someone else. LOl
Dogs hike their legs and pee on things to sho ownership, and sometimes because they are expressing an opinion, when they are mad.
Soooooo, he was either marking you as HIS territory, or you really made him mad.
When they are neutered, that stops a lot of the marking.
If you are not going to breed him, I strongly you have him neutered, for his health sake.
Neutering prevents them from havinf Prostate cancer, and some other illnesses as they get older.
And it stops most if not all of the marking.
My makle dogs are neutered, but two of them argue oer which of my container plants are theirs, and they mark the ones they claim. LOl
