itchy Scottie

Hi Kristin,

We just adopted a Scottie from the humane society. She is missing a lot of her hair and is very itchy. We just spent quite a bit of money at the vet and metabolic disorders were ruled out. I have been reading about allergies and various foods. Do you have any recommendations on good foods to feed or remedies to use for itchy skin?

I use a food called "Holistic Blend" but it is only availible in Canada i believe,but it does wonders

now Scotties are VERY prone to skin problems,and what I do with mine that helps alot is to get him shaved right off in the summer,beard and all

Avoide foods with corn and soy as those often cause allergies,and nuts as well,as they make alot of dogs itchy
