DOG TONGUE

ARE DOGS TONGUE CLEAN??? HOW CLEAN ARE THERE TONGUE??? I HEARD THAT IF A BABY HAS A DIAPER RASH THAT A DOG TOUGUE CAN HEAL IT.   
DOES THAT MAKE ANY SENSE???? ARE THEY CLEANER THAN CATS ???

Hi Kim,
No, a dog's tongue is not clean, and NO it will not heal a diaper rash. That is an old wives tale... pretty disgusting too, I might add.   Cats and dogs are animals... they lick their butts and sometimes eat their own feces, so no I would not call their mouths clean.  However, they make wonderful companions and I think every home should have at least two!
