Constapation

I have a shih-tzu she is about 8yrs old an I think she is constipated, what is something I can give her to help her, this is the first time she has ever had this problem.

Hi Tim, you can give her some vegetable oil on top of her food.  Just a little bit though, like a tablespoon.  You can also get an over-the-counter product called nutri-cal that not only gives her the necessary vitamins, but also loosens the stools.  Hope this helps,
