MY PEMBROKE WELSH CORGI, ABBEY IS ALMOST SIX MONTHS OLD AND I NEED TO KNOW HOW MUCH TO FEED HER DAILY; SHE IS CURRENTLY ON SMALL BITES BY SCIENCE DIET; MY VET TOLD ME TO FEED HER TWICE A DAY ABOUT 1/2 CUP AT EACH FEEDING; IS THIS ENOUGH; PLEASE LET ME KNOW AS I WANT TO MAKE SURE SHE IS GETTING ENOUGH FOOD DAILY.  THANKS

Answer
Hi Erna;
At 6 months I feed 3 times a day until they are from 9 months to a year, THEN I feed twice a day.
Read the back of the label on the dog food bag, and go by that.
A Corgy is a pretty solid little dog. 1 cup every 24 hours, if it is a very active dog, may be too little.
Science diet knows, so go by what the bag says, and watch the dog.
You can easily tell if it starts getting a little too pudgy, and can then increase the exercise and/or cut down on the food a little.
You should be able to feel it's ribs when you run your hands gently down it's sides, but you should not be able to SEE the ribs.
Science Diet is a very good diet, and they have done the research as to amopunts etc.
