Question
Hi Kristin,

I will ask about the Beagle that I am planning to have. I saw one in a pet shop near the town. There is 2 male beagle in the shop one is pure glossy black and the other one is also black but theres a bit of white color on the neck. The shop said that it is a pure beagle the parents of the dog is both pure and tri color. They said that it is a fault beagle which only got the black color. Is that ok to buy that one? I research on it and i cant find the as that. The Physical feature is the same with the tri color even the character of sniffer all the time. Is there a unique way to determine tif that is a pure beagle?

Answer
I have seen black and white and almost black beagles that are purebreds,so the pup might very well be full beagle

You have to watch petstores though they can be sneaky in the way they market dogs to the public, they often tell they are from breeders when they are often from puppy mills-and they will make dogs sound more exotic then they are such as the trend in 'goldendoodles' and 'rare' white boxers when they are in fact mixes or faulted colours

So the answer to your question is that it is possible for it to be a pure bred beagle,or it could also be crossed with something else-the old saying 'buyer beware' applies when getting petstore puppies, however if you still want the puppy ask as many questions as you can,and if they can't answer one question or you aren't satisfied with the answer, leave right away-so make sure to ask as many questions as you want before getting this puppy
