large pomeranian

Hi, i've bought my first pomerian and he's now 6 months old and weighs about 12lbs.  The breeder provided me with papers and at time i collected him she said he was from 'large' stock and would be outside breed standard but he was still registered and has papers.  He's a lovelly dog but i'm wondering if i paid large amounts of money for a dog that isn't technically a pure bred Pom.

Hello Diana. Unfortunately it is easy to fake papers on a dog these days and many people get extra money for dogs that are a different size then they are supposed to be or a different color, when the truth is, that usually means they were inbred or crossed inappropriately. Get in touch with AKC to see how real the papers are is all i can suggest. Good luck
