hello, thanks for taking the time to read my question...my dachsund had her only puppy given away 2 days ago...she is filling up with milk...will she eventually dry up, is there a med to help, or should i consult her vet...thank you so much...

The puppy was weaned too quickly; it should have been done gradually over several days. She will eventually dry up, but you need to cut back on her food a bit. Cold compresses on her breasts for twenty minutes several times a day will help to relieve some of the pain and pressure.
