German Shepherd dog - Eye problem

Question
The sclera has large engorged blood vessels on its surface. What to do?

Answer
Hi Jitin,

You should have your dog examined by your vet to rule out the possiblity of glaucoma.

One of the symptoms of glaucoma is redness of the sclera. Also, one of the health problems the German Shepherd breed is prone to develop is glaucoma, so that's another good reason to see your vet about this.

Best of luck,
