Question
I have a shepard husky mix who is 4 years old. About a month and a half ago we brought home a great dane pup, and they would play together and everything was good, but the last week or so the shepard husky wants nothing to do with the pup, and wont play or be around him. He is starting to snap at him and avoid him at all costs. I was wondering if there is anything that I can do to help the situation. I dont want it to get worse by just leaving it. I was wondering what you thought, if its true that husky/shepards get crankier over the years.

Answer
It seems like the puppy might be pestering the older dog,and a good thing to do is to let them have separate time away from each other. Now this isn't a serious problem but to avoid fighting that is the best way to deal with it,even separating them for a couple of hours a day can help a lot. Giving the older dog a break from the puppy will make the older dog tolerate the puppy better. And I have not heard anything about shepherd/husky crosses getting crankier
