stuvite crystals diet

Ijust today got a 22 month old male shih tzu, he is on Hills S/D.  The owner had him on S/D and C/D both at the same time.  He is on antibiotics Baytril.  She apparently was giving him snacks, weights 21 lbs.  what kind of snacks can he have?  and what hard food should he eat besides S/D.  I understand that S/D is only until he clears up and then back to the C/D? what food is it that should be eliminated, the way I undestood, is that he should not have much protein? is that correct.
