5 yr old female toy pooping in house

Our 5 yr old female toy poodle has recently started to poop in the house at night. We then started to crate her at night and she will often poop in the crate.

Answer
It is unusual to develop behavior problems at that age.  I would have the vet give her a good checkup making sure he knows the problem.  

Also look for other changes that may have disturbed her routine.  It could be as simple as something waking her up, and then the activity stimulating her bowels.  Undo any changes you can.  How big is her crate?  If it is only big enough for her to stretch out in, it may help.  block off part of it if it is too big.
