breeding bitch

im studing for the advanced national certifcate animal care and for my assinment im looking at breeding the bitch i would like to know how long you recomended how long you should leave a bitch between litters. is a year enoough time or does she need longer to rcover. thanks alot for your time.

I BREED MY BITCHES ONCE A YEAR, THEY HAVE TWO HEAT CYCLES OF 21 DAYS, I REST THE UTURES AND BREED ONLY ONCE.  THAT IS REST ENOUGH IF YOUR A BREEDER OF DOGS.
I FEED THEM PUPPY FOOD SOON AS THEY ARE BRED, GOOD SUPPLEMENTS OF FRESH FACTORS AND WORMED ONCE A MONTH.  PLENTY OF FRESH DAILY WATER ALSO.  BEFORE BREEDING THEY ARE WORMED AND SHOTS TO DATE.  I DO NOT WANT TO DO ANYTHING DURING A PREGNANCY TO DISRUPT ANYTHING.  IT IS ALL DONE BEFORE BREEDING.  I BREED THE BITCH ANY DAY FROM 12 DAY TO 16 DAY OF HEAT, TWO TIMES IS ALL.
