when can we start jogging with dog

We have a 5 month year old white germen shepherd and are wondering when we can start jogging with her.  It would be off leash trail running as we live near a forrested area.  She seems as though she wouldn't have any problems, but had heard that running with them too early could cause problems.

Hi, you shouldn't do any distance or endurance work with a GSD until they are at least a year to a year and a half old.  Their hips are not completely set, and you can be putting undo pressure on their joints.  It can also cause panostitis to come out in the large dogs.  Hope this helps,
