White german Shepherd barking

Hi I have a White German Shepherd, he is just 2yrs old, he is excellent with children and people, and the problems we have with him, if he is in the garden he just barks for no reason none stop? the other problem is with other dogs if he on the lead he pulls barks, growls. when and we cant trust him off the lead. he is a loyal and loving dog also he has been castrated about 10 month ago but there was no change.

Hi Mark,  You need to enroll him in obedience training to help with the pulling etc.  You won't be able to have him off leash until you train him on leash first.  Is there anything he is seeing in the garden?  Have you tested his hearing to make sure he can hear?  Some dogs that are deaf will bark for no apparent reason.  Try coming up behind him quietly and then clapping your hands to see if he responds.  Make sure he doesn't feel anything like a floor vibrating as you come up behind him or he will react to the vibration, not the sound.  Hope this helps,
