Question
i just got this boxer puppy from a friend , shes 3 years old , and when i went to pick her up she looked really skinny cause you could see 4 ribs , she is really muscular and strong , but I'm concerned about her weight, and her one eye is red where it should be black , she told me that the cherry surgery didn't take , and i was wondering if i should be concerned about that aswell

Answer
3 years old is not a puppy. Do you mean 3 months old?

There is no such thing as "cherry surgery."

The red part of the eye is normal. A lot of Boxers have it-- it is called "third eye."

That is more common than not.

As far as weight, if she is 3 years old, she should weigh between 50-65 lbs.

If she is 3 months old, she should weigh 18-20 lbs.

If ribs show, it could be due to a thyroid disorder. A vet can draw blood and test it. Medicine is cheap.
