Cherry sized lump in front knee

I recently discovered a cherry sized lump on the front of my boxer/mix's knee.  It is on her front leg and doesn't seem to bother her.  It feels a bit squishy, but has a definite ball shape to it.  It has not changed in size since I noticed it.  Could this be a cyst and should it be taken seriously?

I would definitely take it seriously and have the vet check it. Boxers are prone to cancers and it would be better to have it checked to be on the safe side,I wish you and your boxer/mix well.
