Female boxer heat

Can a female boxer fake her heat? We have a female that is entering her third heat, or should be. I have heard it is possible for dams to hold back their heat. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks

No, they cannot "fake."

Do not believe the old wives' tales that circulate around.

Estrus (heat) is biological and not mental.

They cannot stop or start theirs anymore than human women can.
