staying outside in cold weather

i have a 2 year old minature australian shepherd and last winter, i kept it in the house at night.. can i keep the shepherd outside in the winter months in the dog house.. thank you

I don't understand why you would want to.  Aussies are an affectionate breed that hates isolation, and while the standard Aussie has an all weather coat, it usually becomes bored and mischievous if left alone.  If there's some reason why the dog is not wanted indoors, perhaps you can solve it by management or training, rather than banishing him outdoors.  I'm happy to help if you want to pose a follow up question.
