kitty litter

Question
We've got a 6 month old kitten, Bowie.  We have had to switch litter many times to find something that clumps well.  He is doing really well with his new hooded litter box, he was kicking litter out quite a bit and the new litte box has helped with that.  My question is- he is still tracking litter out of his box- he jumps onto my son's bed and we have to wash his bedding because litter is being tracked onto it.  Is there anything we can do to prevent his litter from getting all over?  Thanks!

Answer
Rosy,

That is a common problem. I just shake it off the bed. I've never had a problem except for vacuuming more.

Go to PetSmart (or similar pet superstore) and in the cat litter box department they have 'litter trackers' that you put down and it helps prevent the litter tracking problem.

I've had cats that 'dig to China' in their litterboxes too and spread litter everywhere. Usually they grow out of it.
