kitten missing

My girl cat disappeared today, and I'm very sad and confused. i found her a month ago, when she was just a few weeks old. She disappeared while I was away for about an hour. What confuses me is that the only way she could get out from the house is jumping from balcony some 3 metres above the ground. Is that possible?

I'm sorry about your kitten. It's possible she fell instead of jumped. It's also possible that something scared her and she is hiding somewhere in the house (I hope!).

Cats do not have any reasoning ability and she would not realize that the ground is that far or that if she jumped down, she could not get back up. She may be hiding in some bushes too frightened (or (hopefully not) injured...but they are pretty sturdy) to come out.

Let the neighbors know (or put up notices) so they don't think she is a stray kitty if someone finds her.

Let me know WHEN (not IF) you find her!
