Cats dont get along.

Question
HI Dan,
I was wondering if you had any suggestions on getting my two remaining cats to get along. We recently lost two cats to cancer and the two remaining never got along very well to begin with, but when the other two were alive there was other cats to chase around. Lady is petrified of Sparky.  She hides when he comes into the room. He trees her, then sits there and just waits for her to move. This happens several times a day. We've had Lady for about 7 years. She was the last to join the family. While she didn't interact with the other cats very much, she doesn't actively go after them either. She would be happy to be an only cat I think, but she isn't the problem.  It's Sparky, who loves people and got along really well with Cleo (gone) tolerated Fruball (gone) just won't be nice to Lady who doesn't bother him.
Thanks for you time...

Answer
Well both of your other cats should see a vet because certain types of cancers are caused by viruses and they may also have it. Just for safety. Now, when your at the vet, ask your vet about baby powder. Baby powder if you put on your cat for a couple of weeks may make them smell the same and because cats go by smell, they may act more like family. It must be cat safe baby powder. But you have to ask your vet. Some vets do not recommend this. Also you should watch them when they are near eachother and keep them apart sometimes in a glass door room. We  don't want them to fight and hurt eachother. So watch them whenever they are near eachother. Talk to your vet about the baby powder idea. Good luck and sorry. Tell me how it works.
