Question
Hi Becky,

I have 2 cats apprx 4 years old and they are both inside cats. They seem to be getting a little "porky" and I am looking for help in finding out when how often, and what to feed them. I have the feeling if I emptied the whole bag of food in to big dish, they would eat it all and look for more. Is it better to feed them more often but less...or, once or twice a day with more. They aren't big "chasing each other" cats so their activity isn't all that wild. I have been giving them Iams for inactive cats but recently changed to Iams anti hair ball mix. Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated as I want them to be very happy and content, but also healthy.

Thanks so much for sharing your insight with others.

Answer
Hi Don,

I may not be the best person to ask, as my cats are a bit "porky" too .... lol.   Iams is a good food, and you should be able to read on the label how much to feed.

Here is a link to a site that has a really good food too,  you may want to check it out,  just go to the section on cats.    www.healthypetnet.com/iaad

A large cat tree that goes from the floor to ceiling is a bit of an investment, but will give your cats hour of play and exercise.  I have one and my cats just love it.  They chase each other up and down the tree, and also use it for a cat scratching post.  You can go online and search for the best price.

Good luck, and God Bless,
Becky
