cats and poision

My male cat 1 or 2 pieces of d-con bait pellets will this kill him?

I'm not sure exactly how big the bait pellets are, but rat and mouse poison is toxic to cats as well.  You can wait and see if your cat gets sick, but I highly recommend against it.  Once you start to actually notice symptoms it may be too late.  I'd take him to the vet ASAP so he can be treated.
