Cats peeing on my porch

Question
We moved into a house that had been vacant for three months.  The neighbor has two male cats who think they own the place now that the former dogs have left.  We have on indoor cat.  the neighbors cats keep peeing on our porch, especially around the windows.  What can we use to keep them from doing it?  I've chased them off enough that they don't come around when I'm outside but I can't be home all the time.  The neighbors don't really care what their cats do outside.

Answer
Hi David,

I'm sorry to hear about your neglectful neighbors! I do have a few suggestions.

First, try to remove all the urine smell by using Nature's Miracle (sold at many pet stores) it's an enzyme that breaks down the proteins in cat urine that attract cats to re-urinate in the same spot. For best results get the full strength gallon and put it in a sprayer bottle to spray down the areas where urine has been sprayed.

Then, get a device like "SSScat":

It's sold at many pet stores and online at drsfostersmith.com

This device is motion-triggered and will scare off the neighbor's cats when they approach your porch.

Good luck!
