pet cat dies of diabetes

My pet cat, aged 15, came down with severe diabetes and died after one week of intensive care. The vet really could not explain to me what caused this. But her death happened about a month before the pet food recall. I am wondering if her death could have been caused by some poison in her food.

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your baby!!  It is possible the food contributed to it, but the food recall was really about kidney and liver failure.  Diabetes relates to the body's production of insulin.  On the positive side, at least your baby didn't suffer long.....
