cat spayed

my cat got spayed today, and she had a litter of kittens, they are about 4 weeks old, can the mother cat be with them, or do i keep them apart for a few days?

Hi Nancy,

I would let her with them for a little bit but keep an eye on them. Do not let them suckle her. That would be the thing to watch out for. If they do you will have to remove her from them so that they don't go after the incision and open it or get it infected. Good luck.
