petting the cat

I'm just a bit curious I've had my kitten about 3 weeks now she's 16 weeks old but I've noticed she very hesistant when you try to pet her sometimes she comes around but sometimes she wants no part of you.

Like us, cats have their different mood/temperament at times.

Your kitten will tell you that it wants to be pet when it's circling around you/your legs.

As your kitten grows closer to you, it would like to seek comfort/attention from you at times especially when you are just awake or when you just came back at night.
