I'm hoping you can help me
My cat hello kitty is 14 and she keeps peeing out side of the litter box and this just started happing about a month ago. We do have a bunch of cats. But the litter box is always clean is this a medical problem or what

thank you

Answer
Danika,

At 14 your cat is approximately 72 years old in human years. She definitely should have an older cat checkup to check the function of her kidneys, liver, and thyroid.

She may have a kidney infection, urinary tract infection, or urinary crystals to name some issues. They all cause pain when using the litterbox so they go elsewhere because they associate that pain with the litterbox.

She may have arthritis which makes it painful to get and out of the litterbox. You can put a sheet of plastic down next to the litterbox with newpapers on it, then some litter and see if she uses that.
They also get senile like people do.

I am including a couple of links about the elderly cats that should be informative and helpful for you.
Do take her to the vet though for a checkup. Maybe they can catch something early and treat her medically. But at 14 things start to go out and go wrong with their bodies, and things can just stop working. Don't get angry at her for getting old. Someday you may wish she were still here having accidents.
