why are cats so mean? my cat is 5 and she bits me all the time. someone gave her to me who had little girls but i have neverhurt her ever. i am 7 yearsld.  thank you, alaina

Hello Alaina,

I'm sorry to hear that you cat is biting you, but I'm sure she isn't being mean on purpose.  If you have only got her recently, she may be scared because she hasn't got to know you properly yet.  You need to give her time to settle into her new home, and let her come to you for attention rather than approaching her if she isn't in the mood to be petted.  Once she gets used to you and feels safe, I'm sure she won't bite you anymore.  You could also ask your parents to take her to the vet to make sure that she isn't ill and isn't biting you because she is in pain.
