name a few reasons for blood in stool please.

There are any number of answers to this question. something as simple as diarrhea or as complicated as cancer. Nervous diarrhea can cause it or many other things. If it is seen frequently, or for more than a day or two or in very profuse amounts, get the cat to the doctor as soon as possible.

I suggest a call to the vet anyway, with a description of all the symptoms. Good luck!!
