Questionhi my uncal has two female ginger cats and he was told that tey are rare i know most gingers are male but i was also told that ginger females are most likely sterile is it true? he dosnt want to breed them we are just curious thanks both te cats are sisters and show signs of coming in to heat they are all ginger
AnswerDear Rachel
Normally Ginger cats are indeed male, but depending on the colour of the parents it is possible to have a Ginger female and no, they are not sterile.
However it is much better for them if they are neutered unless they are pedigree cats and are part of a breeding programme.
