growth on Cats Skin

My cat has these blueish colored oval shaped growth about over a quarter inch long coming out of her skin. looks very painful. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You.

Where are these growths? How old is the cat? Does she go outside?
They sound like they are big, fat ticks that are hanging off of her. The female tick gets engorged with blood and they are blueish, oval shaped objects.

Can you pull them off or are they embedded into the skin?
Can you send a picture of one?
