mega esophogus

my dog has been diagnosed with mega esophogus could you tell me if there are any drugs or what I can do about this . He throws up saliva constantly and food after he is fed.  

Answer
Feed a gruel of food from an elevated position and keep head upright for 15 minutes after eating.

Medication is not that effective, but Reglan (Metoclopramide) may help or Cisapride to help modify motility.

Make sure that testing has been done to see if there is an underlying cause for the condition.
